Role: Lab Assistant


Location: Des Moines, IA


Contract: 13 weeks with possibility of extension


Pay Rate: $16.50/hr


Work Schedule: 36hrs/week


Shift: Nights; 23:00-07:30

Lab Assistant duties and responsibilities



  • Aiding in conducting experiments

  • Analyzing results from testing

  • Regularly cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment

  • Updating records and any necessary paperwork

  • Ensuring information is easily accessible for team members

  • Maintaining an inventory and ordering replacement supplies when needed




REQUIREMENTS






  • Analytical and research skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Dexterous motor skills for working with precision tools in testing

  • Proficiency using spreadsheets, documents, and laboratory information management systems (LIS)

  • Familiarity with lab equipment

  • Attention to detail for carrying out analyses, tests, and instructions
