What to Expect
Tesla
is seeking a motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable Material Planner to
support Residential Energy Indirect materials. The ideal candidate will have
experience in a warehousing environment, as well as familiarity with roofing
construction tools and safety equipment.
- Plan, schedule, and manage
indirect parts for the entire Energy Residential Organization - Continually analyze consumption
of tools, supplies and safety items, share data with cross functional
partners - Oversee tooling inventory
program from a warehouse/materials perspective, closing partnering with
the installation organization to drive business and system improvements - Manage new tooling
introductions, from procurement to distribution - Manage Vendor Managed Inventory
Solutions and quarterly budgeting for all Operations centers - Manage service parts for tool
local repairs, as well as complete visibility/tracking of tools out for
repair - Ensure warehouses are stocked
to appropriate levels to support local installation objectives - Process purchase order
requisitions as required - Track status of open orders to
insure on time deliveries to over 50 operational centers nationally - Work with Supply Chain,
engineering teams and key suppliers to identify cost reduction
opportunities - Work fluidly in a highly
cross-functional team environment - Ability to use data to identify
risks and solve problems - Work with team to continually
improve material planning processes and systems
- High School Diploma and/or the
equivalent in experience. - Proven ability to lead others
through influence. - Ability to work well with
others in a collaborative team environment. - Experience working with
computers and warehouse management systems. - Prior experience in
manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred. - Have great attention to detail.
- Able to plan, organize and
manage multiple projects with competing demands and deadlines. - Basic computer knowledge and
skills required, including Microsoft Excel and Word. - Work as a team player,
interacting with employees of all levels of the organization. - Excellent written and verbal
communication skills required. - Excellent customer service
skills required. - Regular, reliable and
predictable attendance required.
