This role works collaboratively with stakeholders in SCM, Tech Ops, Finance, and Teams throughout the Company to ensure the physical inventory in Southwestu2019s Maintenance locations is accurately reflected in our warehouse management system. This allows Teams to order and supply the needed tools and parts for production and keep the Southwest Operation moving.   • Ensures physical inventory is accurately reflected in warehouse management system in order to supply needed parts and tools to production. Performs root cause analysis of discrepancies, reports findings and results, and coordinates effort with other teams in Supply Chain and with Material Stores.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct 60- day investigations to resolve discrepancies and locate missing parts
  • Ensure FAA compliance by conducting audits on parts, tooling, and hazmat material
  • Process cycle count and inventory information in warehouse management system and perform basic analysis to capture trends
  • Validate routine audits of material and tooling generated through a formal cycle count process, verifying physical inventory is accurately reflected in warehouse management system
  • Validate and correct inventory discrepancies both physically and within the warehouse management system
  • Manage audits of shelf-life material, ensuring all expired material is properly disposed of according to regulations
  • Prepare reports and present results and summaries of audits to Management and Leadership
  • Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employees Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; basic or intermediate Excel skills
  • Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)
  • Ability to shift back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information
  • Ability to collaborate with others to resolve unexpected challenges
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Entry-level experience; developing skills and knowledge in:
    • Supply chain; aviation logistics; finance; accounting; industrial engineering/distribution; data management; Business administration and management; or similar disciplines

Physical Abilities
  • Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
